Review of Gill’s Organisation of the Queen’s Jubilee Street Party (2022)

Gill’s exceptional organisational skills were on full display during our street party for the Queen’s Jubilee in 2022. From start to finish, the event ran seamlessly, a true testament to her pragmatic and ordered approach to planning.

This wasn’t a small gathering — it was a large-scale event involving official road closures (secured with council permission), signage hire, and meticulous coordination. Gill handled it all with calm professionalism and attention to detail.

She went above and beyond to make the day special. She organised a brilliant raffle packed with amazing prizes, generously donated by local businesses she personally reached out to. Despite battling unpredictable weather, she kept spirits high with a fun itinerary packed with games, karaoke, and a professional sound system.

Gill didn’t just plan the event — she brought the whole community together. She led planning meetings, coordinated the volunteer team, and ensured that responsibilities were shared fairly according to everyone’s strengths.

Thanks to Gill’s leadership and vision, the street party was not only a wonderful celebration but also a fitting tribute to our late Queen. A great time was had by all, and it’s an event we’ll remember fondly for years to come.

School Fetes. Denise, Swadlincote

I have worked with Gill when she organised Summer Fetes for a local primary school. With activities, music and games not to mention stalls. There was so much to do to suit all age's, actively getting adults to get involved. Gill had patience and enthusiasm to make the fete happen and to get all involved plus raise money for the school.  These fetes and other school events Gill organised were always a big success.
